Frequently Asked Questions — Thermzy NS7

Answers to the most common questions about the Thermzy NS7 Thermal Dash Camera. Tap or click any question to expand the answer.

What makes the NS7 different from a regular dash cam?

The NS7 pairs a thermal (infrared) sensor with a visible-light camera so it can detect heat signatures in complete darkness, heavy fog, smoke, or glare — giving improved hazard detection and AI-driven warnings beyond standard video recording.

Can it really detect people and animals at night or in zero light?

Yes. The thermal sensor reads heat, allowing the unit to detect pedestrians, pets and larger animals at long range even with no ambient light. Typical detection distance is advertised up to ~200 meters depending on conditions and target size.

Will it work in fog, rain, smoke or dusty conditions?

Thermal imaging penetrates fog, smoke and dust better than visible-light cameras, so the NS7 maintains usable detection and situational awareness where ordinary cameras struggle. Heavy precipitation will still reduce effective range, as with any optical system.

Does it record video like a standard dash cam?

Yes — the NS7 includes continuous dash-cam recording functionality. It stores footage locally and supports exporting files to a phone or computer for review and evidence.

How does the ADAS/AI warning system work?

Onboard AI analyzes combined thermal and visible imagery in real time to flag risks such as forward collisions, pedestrian or animal crossings, lane departure, and sudden stops. Alerts are issued to help you react earlier—often 1.5–3 seconds sooner than unaided observation.

Is installation difficult and will it fit my vehicle?

The NS7 is made to be vehicle-compatible and typically installs using the supplied mount, power cable and accessories. Many customers perform a self-install — professional installation is optional if you prefer wiring hidden or integrated with vehicle power systems.

What power options does it use and does it run when the car is off?

The unit typically powers from the vehicle 12V supply via the included cable. Some installs support a hardwire kit or an auxiliary battery to enable parking mode or event-triggered recording while the vehicle is off—check your specific kit and wiring option.

How do I retrieve and save recorded footage?

Footage can be exported directly via USB, microSD card (if present), or wirelessly to a phone/computer depending on model features. Files are standard video formats for easy playback and sharing.

Does the NS7 replace my vehicle’s built-in ADAS?

No. The NS7 is intended as an aftermarket safety supplement that adds thermal detection and additional AI warnings. It augments factory systems but does not replace OEM safety equipment or driver responsibility.

What warranty and customer support are available?

Warranty terms vary by retailer and region. Check the product listing or included documentation for the exact warranty period and support channels. Most sellers provide a standard manufacturer warranty and a support contact for troubleshooting and returns.
